'How I Base' Series: Arcane Temple Ruin's

Basing Miniature's Technique II - Arcane Temple Scheme

This is the second installment of basing techniques. Now I will admit first, this is a cheat way of doing it as I have used some resin bases. But the results are a million times better than I could have ever achieved by scratch building them.

I will mainly cover in this post painting colours and techniques used rather than hobbying.

These are the resin bases I used from Micro Art Studio, Arcane bases.

First step as always is to spray them black.

Next step is to base the Arcan features on the Temple bases, to do this I used a mix of 3/4 Sotek and 1/4 Calagor Blue. This was followed by a wash of Drakenhof Shade with some Lahmian Medium and the Drybrushed with Etherium Blue.

The Actual stonework was painted using a mix of Dryad Bark and Zamari Dust and then shaded with good old Agrax.

Final step, dry brush the hell out of them using colours of your choice.. I went with

Then paint the edges Black to make the bases pop! and you are done.

I will update this as more of my army is done..
