'How I paint' Series: Nighthaunt, Spirit Hosts

A little easy project, spirit hosts are super detailed, look great and easy to paint. Shortest tutorial ever.

First prime then with Corax White.

Then wash over with Nihilakh Oxide, Coilea Greenshade in the recesses and waywatcher green.
Thats it. Simple models to paint. Really simple.

Once they are based, they look great though!

  1. Looking really great. Did you give them i light drybrush afterwards? Looks a bit like that.

    1. Cheers, no, no dry brush, just what the Nililakh Oxide does.

  2. While i can't argue that these spirits look amazing I am struggling to find a method of achieving this without the Nililakh Oxide. I really want to get away from the greenish tint on my spirits and instead have something that is more purple or red hued. Any suggestions on that?

    1. Hi mate, thank you! For Purple, I would Undercoat with Corax White, then wash with a 50/50 mix of Lahmain Medium and Druchii Violet all over. Then do a recess shade of pure Druchii Violet before a final dry brush of Wrack White.

      Hope that helps
